Worship
What is Worship?
The definition of worship is the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration to a deity. So how do we cultivate a life of reverence and adoration to God in our daily lives.
Worship is two things, an inward heart posture of affection toward God and an outward display of action. Much like Faith it requires action. The bible describes in Romans 12:1 our true and proper worship is to offer ourselves as living sacrifices.
Jesus describes our worship to be in Spirit and in Truth. In Spirit is to be led by the gentle nudges of the Holy Spirit daily. Truth is to follow Jesus way, his teachings, his word. Worship must be genuine and from the heart. King David was one who abandoned care for how he looked and worshipped God well and he is remembered in history as a man after God's own heart. This type of worship removes any space for legalistic and empty rituals like the Pharisees. They missed the point and love the praise of men instead of focusing on what really mattered.
So the real key is how do we live in a state of constant worship?
Colossians 3:17 says, whatever you do, do it all giving thanks to God. (paraphrased) What ever we do in our daily lives can be done as an act of worship. We just need to maintain the attitude of our hearts postured towards gratitude to God.
Next time you are in the middle of a mundane task, direct your thoughts to God, thanking him for every blessing in your life, big and small. Continue to do this and you will see a shift in your life towards worship.

The Superiority of Jesus
Read Luke 8:22-39
Jesus is the top authority in all creation. The story in Luke display this clearly. The man who was known by the entire town as demon possessed fell at Jesus feet kneeling and begging as soon as Jesus arrived on the shore. The town tried to subdue this man with chains hand and foot, but it never was able to stop him. The town had no authority over him. When Jesus comes on the scene the demons recognised who he was and were terrified. After a small dialog, the legion begs for Jesus to cast them into the pigs. Jesus grants their request. The spiritual beings understood Jesus authority completely.
How is your understanding lately?
Do you trust Jesus has authority over all things? Sickness, demons, circumstances?
Ask Jesus where you need help believing his authority.
The disciples started to comprehend Jesus position when they were sailing over to Gennesaret. Jesus was casually sleeping in the boat in the middle of an intense storm. He had a peace that could not be shaken from understanding his position. When the disciples woke him because they were afraid, Jesus spoke to the weather and it changed immediately. If they didn't have a grasp on Jesus authority before that moment, then it definitely would have shifted once they saw the world obey his words.
